I came here every morning to get my breakfast while I stayed in Miami for a few days. Service is great. Easy order and there is a small dining area in the back - ACd. May the only thing to add to that delicious menu is fresh brewed iced tea. Love all their choices. Am from New York- they have a sample selection in the am w spread for u to try. I love the guys and ladies behind the counter. They are quick!

I'm conflicted with NY Bagel Deli because parts of it were really excellent, but some aspects made me question coming back. I'm from the NY area, so I have high standards for bagels. In that regard, NY Bagel Deli is an excellent place for your morning carbohydrate needs! They have a wide variety of bagels, including sample pieces to try, and many spreads and breakfast sandwich options. It's a casual environment with indoor and some outdoor seating, but I think most customers pick up their order and head home. Despite there being a long line, it passed quickly and I didn't have to wait too long for my food. The staff here were welcoming, helpful, and willing to accommodate to changes in my order. They also have an extensive selection of fresh smoothie options which I would've liked to try. They were reasonably priced for the plethora of contents they contained including things like chia seeds and various bases like almond milk. I saw many customers drinking them. NY Bagel Deli also had several baked goods available. I ordered the crab meat, egg, mushroom, and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The bagel was excellent and flavorful. Instead of Swiss cheese, I ordered mozzarella and perhaps this was my mistake because maybe they weren't used to putting mozzarella in this sandwich. I couldn't taste any cheese in the sandwich and when I asked if they could add some more, the owner was very accommodating and said it wouldn't be a problem. The staff member, however, responded by putting melted mozzarella cheese in a cup which was incredibly messy to try and separate with knives and my fingers, and then put on my sandwich. The cheese was good, but it turned into a slippery project that could've been avoided if there was cheese on it to begin with! This was the fault of one employee though, and not the owner. I think next time it would be better if I just order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Simple is better here, and they give you delicious orange slices with your sandwich.

So much freshness... So much amazingness... So much YUM. The newly expanded New York Bagel & Deli is the best spot in North Beach to grab a bagel. The salmon bagel sandwiches are heavenly. Also the fresh cold press juices are the best I've ever had... I can't get enough of the Miami Green flavor. The place is slightly pricey, but believe me you get what you pay for...and then some.

The food and bagels are always good - the service and staff are a disaster - a soap opera behind the counter while people are waiting

This place was great! Had blueberry pancakes, Greek salad, bagels and smoothies throughout the week. The salad and pancakes were amazing. Prices good for the fresh ingredients you get. Loved it we went 3 times

The chicken Cesar salad had wonderful dressing !! Squirt the lime and orange juice on top . They do give you LOTS of chicken and I wish there was more greens, but that's okay. $9.99 for the small.

3.5 Stars. Good place for breakfast or lunch if you are staying at one of the hotels nearby. I really enjoyed my grilled chicken herb bagel sandwich and at 10 bucks it wasn't cheap, but it was filling. My friend had the Reuben and he said it was pretty good. I would probably return if I am ever staying in the area again.

I came to NY Bagels upon recommendation. I called ahead, hoping I would receive my bagels in a more timely fashion. This was false. When I got there, approximately 10 minutes later, my two bagels were not ready. And, I must emphasize I did not have a very complicated order. Also, when I got there there was a crying toddler girl in the arms of the cashier. Additionally, it was frustrating that NY Bagels does not serve eggs any style, they only serve scrambled eggs. I asked if this was because they use fake eggs and they said no. This still sounds a little sketchy to me. So, instead of my usual order I got a multi berry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a side of lox. The bagel was sweet, fluffy and delicious. But, the lox is not under a clear counter, like the way most Delis present it. The cream cheese selections were not on display either, which I didn't like. Overall, the bagel was as good as real New York bagel. But, I would only come again for a simple bagel order, not if I want a real breakfast meal.

Great place to drop in and grab and authentic New York style bagel and coffee. The bagels were super fresh and doughy! They also have a nice coffee bar so you can make your cup o' joe however you want. Plenty of seating as well which is a plus.

Seriousely the people that take your orders nd make your sandwich/bagels are bunch of zombies. How hard is it to put a cream cheese on a bagel ? Every single time they get an order wrong. You ask them to double toast the bagel- they ignore it, you lucky if bagel is toasted once. You ask for roasted pepper cream cheese they put some random other cream chese on, you tell them the Oder is " for here" they pack it "to go". Last time cream cheese tasted sour and looked like it was left out for days. It was gross I had to throw my bagel in trash. Acai bowl was melted and almost warm. I had great bagels couple times before but I'm about to give up trying my luck. Gonna go to Einstein Bagels next time.

Great place to stop in for a fresh bagel and fresh juice selection in North Beach. I had the Asiago with plain cream cheese, it was delicious. I highly recommend the sesame seed bagel, probably their best. Oh, and get it toasted.

  • Cyn M.

Bleh... $10 and change for an iced latte , bagel w/cream cheese, and a small tiny cookie. The bagel itself should not be likened to NY at all. No chewiness just bready. The iced latte was had burnt espresso... I could deal with the bagel but burnt coffee I just can't. If you're on the beach tie one of your few option for bagels... So not a total wash just expect to overpay for mediocre bagels and coffee.

I wss here at opening while on vacation and ordered 5 breakfast sandwich bagels and 5 smoothies, all really great and fast, will have to try lunch as I know it will be good!

Great food and coffee. The line is a bit crazy, though. Maybe offer a sit-down restaurant style option too? When the line is too crazy, I do not stay.

A lot of choices for breakfast. Generous helpings and quick service. I especially enjoyed the yogurt, oatmeal and quinoa breakfast bowls. Their cold brew iced coffee is refreshing. The eat-in dining area is spacious, clean, well tended and air conditioned.

I've been coming here for years and I don't know what the beach would be without this place. Yes, it's a bit overpriced but In are many places in this area. Many delis of this notch don't dare deliver; not these folks! They deliver in a very big chunk of the area and it's usually very quick! Let's see, I've ordered many different items here but I would lie to you if I told you one specific item stuck out. For breakfast, I'll sample the cream cheeses they have upfront and whichever tickles my fancy will be spread upon my choice of bagel that day. I refuse to leave without my lychee punch which is a perfect mix of watermelon and lychee juice in. Yummy Iced cup with a straw to slurp all the goodness. At the checkout lane, the cookies will try to smuggle themselves onto your tray as you convince yourself "this is for later". I've also never left without the kale chips ! Oh wow they are so awesome! The owner here is very nice and so is the rest of the staff. I've never had a sour experience dining here and I've done so about 25 times in the past 7 years.

I really liked this place, I thought the staff was really friendly and helpful. I was staying at a hotel nearby and would walk here in the am for breakfast. Bagels, fresh fruit, smoothies were all good. I never had a problem with slow service, I had to wait but it wasn't ever a big deal. Kind of expensive but way less than the hotel, and it is Miami Beach.

    (5)
  • Wendy G.

We love this spot for a weekend breakfast or lunch. Bagels are the best on the beach. Also salads, breakfast plates, sandwiches. Smoothies are also made with fresh fruit and ice coffee comes with coffee ice cubes. Now they have a nice seating area so it's easier with a group.

Hands down the best bagels in town. The cashier is always attentive and takes care of us quickly.

  • Marian T.

Ate here three breakfast while in north Miami beach, the bagels were yummy, and they even customer made my fresh fruit salad because I am allergic to mangoes. The oatmeal was super too. The assortments of fresh made juices and pre bottled fruit juices make choices quick and easy. It looks small but there is tons of seating in a side room. The bagel making ladies at breakfast time were quick and friendly. I even saw huge trays of bagels and fixings being assembled for local businesses.

Just stopped in here despite some other Yelp reviews... They have incredible bagels and a huge smoothie selection, and the veggie bagel sandwich in really, really good. Try the Peanut Butter Power smoothie! They also deliver. Bam.

Expect a wrong or missing order, bad coffee, and the minimum hygiene possible. Won't recommend it at all.

  • Emilie S.

I absolutely love this bagel place and I have to say they have the best bagels and tuna on Miami Beach, however, the attitude and the customer service needs serious help. It has never been a pleasant experience for me to go pick up bagels. The employees are always rude, complaining about "scooping bagels" and other simple tasks that may take longer. Keep in mind, these bagels are over priced (but worth it,) so the simple task of scooping a bagel shouldn't be too much of a hassle. This restaurant would be ten times better and I would probably find myself going there more and recommending it to friends and family more often if I didn't think the employees would be so rude. This has been a regular thing and really needs to change.

    (3)
  • Allison N.

I'd say that these bagels are of the best of the game in the Miami area. There are not many NY style places that give options of many different types of fresh bagels, tons of cream cheese flavors, etc. -- AND you can always have a snack and sample some cream cheeses as you wait for your order -- (which by the way is not the fastest but its worth it) Don't overlook their omelets if you're in the mood for more protein - they're seriously awesome with flavor. Guessing they spice up their omelets a bit.

I live right down the street from New York Bagel and want so badly for it to be a great place to pick up a coffee and bagel, but I unfortunately cannot identify almost anything good about it. I have been here 3 times (I tried to give it a chance!), and have experienced complete chaos on each occasion. It is usually pretty busy since there are few options for take-away food in North Beach. There always seems to at least 5 or 6 people working behind the counter, yet it takes an extremely long time for orders to be completed. You have to shout your order over a tall counter, which is awkward. And, the restaurant is laid out in such a way that the employees must move through a crowd of customers to take out loads of garbage from behind the counter and bring in scalding hot trays of fresh bagels. I do not understand why they are unable to move through their kitchen to perform these essential functions. It seems to me that their money would have been better spent on re-configuring the layout of their counter and kitchen area, instead of the brand new seating area they recently opened. The bagels are decent, and so is the cream cheese. Stick to this if you are forced to eat here. The bagel sandwiches are a complete mess - they do not seem to care much about presentation or composition of a sandwich. The lettuce on my turkey sandwich did not look extremely fresh (I took most of it off), and the tomatoes were cut into weird thick chunks which made everything slide out of the bagel and on to my plate each time I took a bite. The coffee is horrible, especially the iced coffee. For iced coffee, they give you a plastic cup containing a large coffee ice cube, and the actual iced coffee is located in a carafe on a self-service island in the seating area. It is rather warm and tasteless. The prices are pretty high for poor quality - $9.49 for turkey on a bagel with lettuce, tomato and onion. As this is Miami Beach, you probably will not find sandwiches for much less, but I would say your money would be better spent at the Subway next door or down the street at Publix.

  • Danny A.

Why are you guys gross? You have awesome bagels and really great juices, but you treat your business like a shithole. Homeless ppl refuse to use your restroom. Can you pls have some self respect and give a shit about your business? You have a Subway right next door that's impeccably clean. Learn something from them. So to recap: 1) clean your place 2) have some self respect 3) don't be fucking gross Thanks!

Solid bagel and juice bar spot in the north part of Miami Beach. All types of bagels including breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I had an everything bagel with cheddar cheese. Plenty of egg and cheese and the bagel was completely covered in flavor. It was pretty busy for a Friday morning and things moved quickly. They have a side room with 4 large TV's and coffee.

This was a fantastic deli! The pancakes were amazing with powder sugar an awesome maple syrup! We ordered bagels and they were so fresh, warm and delicious!! Great breakfast and very friendly staff!!! We will definitely be back while vacationing at Miami beach!!

This is your typical bagel shop but with amazing bagels and vegan offerings! I choose the Vegan Delight sandwich on an everything bagel...O-M-G!!! The sandwich was huge and was packed with avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, and tofu spread - just typing that sentence makes my mouth water. The sandwich was very flavorful, filling, and just great. During my second round I opted for a bagel with tofu cream cheese because I wasn't hungry enough for a sandwich, it was very good. I really should have gone a third time for another vegan delight... Bottom line, best bagels ever (if you exclude bagels that are actually from NY).

Can we say health code violation? This place is truly disgusting and filthy. Tables are never wiped down and there is dirt everywhere. It smells like old dirty mop water and the bagels can taste like it too. Not good when you are ordering fish and dairy products. My friend found a long piece of hair in her bagel sandwich the other day. The manager didn't even seem shocked. It must happen all the time. The layout of the restaurant is a nightmare. The tables are way too big for the space. The ordering process is a nightmare as well as everyone is always fighting to order and pay. There is no real place to stand once you place your order. If you are claustrophobic don't go you will probably have a panic attack. I am sure they violate the capacity rule on a regular basis. I think this place gets over looked by health inspection because I think they hire people that are part of a work release program that is funded by the city. You never see the same employees besides the owners and their children more than a month. I don't have a problem with this because they are usually very friendly. I can tell they work hard. The prices are way too high for the the lack of sanitation. It's sad because their menu has many options and is much needed in this neighborhood. I am afraid the expansion will mean just a bigger space for dirt.

One the best smoothies I have ever head. Even had a sampling of a bagel and schmear and was quite good. I will knock it a star for the cleanliness...it's a pretty run down place inside especially the bathrooms. But I'll be back. Yumm.

I Ordered a Chicken Caesar salad I like it except for the dressing it has way to much butter, its like eating a salad with butter!!!! ... Despite that, their bagels are okay I had better its not the big thing and they are not always fresh! I had also try their natural juices, its not bad but it was not that good, for some reason my juice happened to be so sweet like if they put sugar on it... I might go back to try more juices maybe that will be the only reason!

Being from CT, seeing New York Bagel Deli obviously stood out to me. Walked there from my hotel on Collins Ave. The workers were sweet and obviously knew I hadn't been there before. Got 2 iced coffees (which come with a coffee ice cube, how cool!) and an Acai Goji Berry Smoothie. Both were great. May go back tomorrow to get a bagel because they looked and smelled delicious!

Life saving location!!!! Where do I begin??? Healthy divine salads chock full of veggies and optional proteins? Delightful juices ranging from Kale-luscious to lunch delight to hangover cure??? Quick delivery??? Friendly owner and help behind the counter? Huge array of spreads and bagel chips?!! Heaven, affordable and just terrific food an service. Officially addicted to their homemade chicken soup and freshly NON PROCESSED bagels and raw salads I am so happy I jumped into this modest shop tucked away near my UPS location. Passing the Chinese and Dominos I peeked it and I was sold. Sometimes I call and they have my order prepped. Sometimes I pop in and the yummy little sample tasters of their clever original spreads and bagel chips to taste are a treat! Special shout out For their smoked salmon spread. No, not the standard spread. We're talking cream cheese and generous chunks of lox.... Heck yeah! So excited for their new juicing system comin in. What a home run! I'm a satisfied and continuous customer!!!

I go here Every.Single.Morning. And don't mistakenly read this review and think this pertains to any NY bagel deli because i've been to all of them in Miami and i HATE them all.. except this one. I am OBSESSED with the one on collins. The managers are always there making sure things are running smoothly and the bagels are riddiculous. Just take a minute and imagine the best possible bagel that melts in your mouth and i promise you, you will find that heavenly bagel here. They make fresh creme cheeses and such which are the best i've ever had. I don't buy my veggie creme cheese from the store anymore, i buy it straight from here now. ALSO if you have not tried their bacon egg and cheese bagel oooooo lord go there NOW!! I was addicted to their cream cheeses but now everytime I go i have to get the bacon egg & cheese instead. And it sounds like something that would be soo simple to make at home but they just make it SO damn good. And anyway, who has the time for all that in the morning?

Dropped in for a take out lunch for myself and a friend. Nice staff, great cashier and the food was good. We had the nova scotia salmon bagel and the chicken bagel both were satisfying. Definitely will be back.

This place has amazing food. Unfortunately this is eclipsed by a horrible service they provide their customers. I have not once recently ordered from them where they have actually handed over a complete order. And God forbid I order delivery. I used to order from them all the time. Now I don't even bother.

Been a long time patron of this little gem on the beach. Variety of cream cheeses, egg sandwiches and fresh bagels...but wait, the smoothies are also what makes this place SO GOOD! Hearty breakfast/lunch items. I recommend the avocado smoothie (not on menu but used to be but if you know about it, they'll make it for you, so rich and delicious) , the almond joy smoothie (says it all in the name: almond nut butter, banana, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla & maple syrup) five star smoothies. Overall I make this a go to spot when I'm nearby but prefer Joshs Deli for most food items as it appeals more to foodie centric and unique menu items. Smoothies here are totally worth it though!

  • Ricky N.

When you first walk in, try to get over the cheese smell. Other than that, this place will fit your budget and fill your stomach. Order the Turkey and Egg White sandwich! Delicious... this place does need to be updated and cleaned up. But other than that, I would return for a quick pick up and etc. Really good prices!

Get the Miami breeze smoothie and the turkey egg white sandwich on a power wheat bagel with American cheese. It's my favorite!!

    (5)
  • Virginia S.

This place has really good fresh food. Their smoothies are money winners too. But they definitely need a course in customer service. The employees here, especially the manager, ignore you while you stand at the counter waiting to be served. When they do talk to you it's with a very rude tone of voice. Would I recommend this place? Yes, i recommend the food but not the service.

    (3)
  • E M.

I'm not sure why this place doesn't have 5 stars-the smoothies and bagels are awesome- plus they have a large selection of soups and healthy salads. Visiting northern end of the beach I wasn't sure on the best place for a smoothie. I tried Athens juice bar the first day, but I like this place better!

I freaking LOVE this place. DO IT. Tis all.

    (5)
  • Paul K.

The place is filthy & disorganized. I don't think they've mopped the floor in years. The food is worthy of 2 stars but because the place is so gross & dirty they should get negative stars. It's really unbelievable that this place is even in business.

    (1)
  • B S.

Smoothies are good but this place is so nasty! I dont think they have EVER cleaned the floors. The workers are rude and there is no organization.

Expensive and your bagels are ehhhh. Buddy the bagels I eat in NY blow your shit out of the water. And finally you're not from NY !

  • Kami H.

Worst service ever. The guy taking my order this morning literally said he would not charge 2 cards separately because he didn't want to. It would be too much work. The food is delicious but that is no excuse for the horrible service and bad attitudes. My work orders from the Miami Beach location all the time and without fail, we can always expect some asshole to take our order. How do people like that get hired to work in customer service? Is there no Manager at this location, or does the manager not care either?

    (1)
  • Britt S.

The two stars are strictly given for the food! The bagels are amazing...the power bagel is my favorite! They also have a huge selection of cream cheeses and also a ton of salads that look super healthy and creative as well. Other than the fact that the food is so good, the place is a complete dump! I've watched the owner walk past dirty tables and not clean them off. The staff is beyond RUDE and refuses to smile. My suggestion would be to clean house, hire all new happy staff members, and give the place a thorough cleaning! Oh and the space planning is also atrocious! It's hard to even walk into the restaurant because there are too many tables!

Visited NY Deli because it was located across from our hotel & just wanted to grab a quick, simple lunch!! Shared a pastrami Sammy on rye & corn tortilla soup. It was DELISH! My only REGRET....our flight home is easier than this place opens up. Don't fret, the kind lady behind the counter tightly wrapped my very berry bagel for me to enjoy in the am! Accommodating & informative staff!!!!

This is a great little bagel shop! They have a HUGE variety of bagels, sandwiches, cream cheese, smoothies, raw juices..... Upon entering they have samples of cream cheese spreads, bagels and smoothies. The bagels are made fresh hourly, you see them coming out of the kitchen nice and hot. The cream cheese is the star the show. The artichoke spread and red pepper spread is to die for. Whoever is making these cream cheese spreads in the back is a genius. They have great combination of raw juices. The beet ginger is perfect, not to sweet not too bitter, just right. To all the other reviewers commenting about the lack of cleanliness, great news they had a face-lift. The place has new tables, chairs and perhaps a new floor or they just cleaned it?! Either way they are doing a great job cleaning it up. The service has also become better, everyone was smiling and asking if you've been helped with. Keep in mind this is New York Bagel Deli, these people are from New York you treat them with respect and they do back at ya!!

nommmm. closest thing to a NY bagel in miami. they also have a yummy vegan schmear option and carry a delicious line of cold pressed juices.

This place is amazing. The best bagels I've had outside of NY. Everything is super fresh and made from scratch. Everyone was down to earth and super nice. Every single item was so fresh and tasty, including the fruit cups and orange juice. I would recommend it any meal, any time.. The menu is enormous! Good for vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters, and picky eaters. SO GOOD.

  • David R.

Really hard place to grade. Food is nearly a 5 star. But the service is about a 1 star. I've been coming here for almost 6 yrs and the same mgmt are there daily and never once have they made an effort to show courtesy. It's obvious they are focused on bottom line only and not the customer. The shop itself is pretty dirty. They would rather put out an extra item near the register to try to sell you than have a clean shop. I wouldn't go as far as to call them rude but they clearly don't focus on the local repeat customers. As for the food, the bagels are very good and the tuna is usually quality and the quantity is typically rather large, but again you pay for it.

  • Travis L.

One of my favorite bagel places I've been to. They have a huge menu with tons of different options for cream cheese. They also have a rock solid bagel selection. I did an egg sandwich and it was on point. The area doesn't have a ton of breakfast spots so I highly recommend this one! If you are looking for some things to take home and top your bagel with make sure to check out the cooler to the left when you walk in. Overall, a little pricey but certainly worth it! The bagels are great!

I place an order to deliver, after 1 and half hour waiting for my order I called them. They told me that the guy with my order left already. I continuous waiting, I called three times and nobody knows about my order , everybody promise to call me with any information about it, but nobody did it and even though they were rude on the phone. I 'd never received the order. Extremely bad service.

This place is amazing. Such an extensive menu and so many healthy options to choose from. I had a jalapeño asiago bagel and it was absolutely delicious despite being covered in grease. The bagels are cheap but the smoothies are a little pricey. I haven't tried any yet but I can imagine they're probably worth the price.

Well what can I say other than yum!!! The food is great and the staff was friendly. I would highly recommend a visit even if you only try one of their fresh juices.

My friend wanted a quick bite before we headed to the beach, so we stopped by here. The bagel was pretty good, but my sandwich needed a little more flavor. I got a knife and added a little bit of their complimentary spread to the remainder of my bagel and it tasted so much better. The people in line just chuckled at me for doing that lol.

I love bagels so I had high expectations and I was impressed. Small town feel on beachside and easy walk from hotels in nearby area. I ordered a caramel frappe and wished I got a bigger size, excellent, and I wanted an Asiago cheese bagel but it had tomato in it and just wanted it plain:/ I don't know if they were out or that's just how they come normally but I would have preferred it with just cheese. Instead I got the garlic(a choice only real garlic lovers can have) and loved it. It was small and crowded I was happy to see they had a sign showing their impending expansion. But it was also just a lot of wasted space and needs a bit of a makeover, so more fluid. For example: the counter between consumer and employee is so large I had to yell and repeat my order so she could hear me. Also very hot inside. Only one of the two fans were running, and it felt warmer than it was outside. But the food(I also tried my sisters egg and cheese bagel and that was phenomenal) was great. Would definitely return if in the area again. Yum!

Loved the guava cream cheese but don't care for the setup. Tables very crowded together, guy tried to cut in front. Hope the expansion helps with this.

I love this deli! Fresh smoothies and yummy bagel sandwiches. My favorite thing is that they scoop out the bagel and fit all of the filling of your sandwich inside. They also have a little display case were you can buy tuna salad, fresh squeezed OJ, butter, etc. Really nice place to have in the neighborhood.

I absolutely love this place, I feel there is something on the menu for everyone. I've had the green juice which includes kale, apple and pear. I've also ate a veggie bagel with everything. Completely delicious. I bit pricey if you get a juice and a bite to eat. My total was like an average of $17. However, the flavor makes you want to go spend more money there. Healthy and delicious.

The salads and smoothies are amazing! Unfortunately, the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. This place has the potential to be a five star place if they would be friendly to their customers.

Unbelievable! Each item is better than the next! I've picked up bagels from here and they are delicious! My favorite is the asiago! They cost extra but are well worth it! It's a small place, no atmosphere but amazing food. My sister needed to cater food for thirty people and I suggested that she use them since they deliver. The sandwiches on soft rolls were out of this world, especially the pastrami! The asian salad was fabulous, and so was the mediteranean salad and I've never seen a tomato salad made with cherry tomatoes and mangoes. OMG! That was my favorite! The presentation was beautiful and the taste was a big hit among the crowd. I know where I"m picking up from for break fast. And, they are on the prime card! THey also have home made salad dressings, cream cheeses, and smoothies.

I usually wouldn't rate a bagel shop but this place was so disgusting that a I feel compelled to warn my fellow man. A. The health dept needs to have a look and shut this place down. It is filthy and revolting. Almost intentionally so. Floor, counters, tables... G-ross! B. Not sure you can call it a bagel shop. If by "bagel shop" they mean, "we have some bagels and we keep them in what looks like a filthy wired chicken coup" then yeah, it's a bagel shop. C. Food. Generally gross low end food. Imagine what's in the food if the kitchen looks like the rest of the place. Double gross. We ordered food not yet realizing how gross the place was. As we waited for our food we considered bolting. The $25 price tag on two bagels and two smoothies caught our attention. Maybe you go back if you're a New Yorker and you only support fellow New Yorkers... or a family member owns this place and you love eating and getting free disgusting food. Other than that, there is no reason to go to this dump. Gross.

Today marks the end of my mini 4-day vacay and I really wanted, all weekend, to have one of their (pricier) specials that involves a bag, cream cheese, lox and a splash of caviar and capers. But whoa - Sat and Sun the crowd in this little spot were out the door and I didn't fancy waiting. Today I woke up early (which is to say 2 demanding felines who have no concern for my vacation sleep in and demanded to be fed before 7 AM) and decided to mosey on over. Voila - I was served immediately. I find their food both fresh and refreshing. Service is a little spotty but I understand they get slammed - however, a smile couldn't hurt.

Surprisingly good sammiches! (My first attempt was the Bombay Chicken on an everything bagel) the pickle was, well, interesting. Not my favorite. But the sammich? De-lish! The deli is tiny, cramped and reminds me of the cafe I grew up in in Chicago. To that end, they fall into some of the same pitfalls, namely, way too many choices, making it difficult for a first timer to choose. (Also, probably making it quite difficult for the staff to keep up with all the different menu choices; soups, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, etc etc) But they pull it off, and I can easily transport myself to the Big Apple when I step inside. Definitely coming back! Oh, yeah, the bagels? They rock.

this is the best food ever!! I am here for 9 days out of the year every year and I always make a point to get the smoothies here. their smoothies and bagels are better than anything I have had in the northeast and they have a lot of diverse options for different dietary restrictions. the people who work there are also so nice - I dropped my smoothie today and they gave me another one for free!! EVERYONE GO HERE!!

Was looking for a snack and was pleasantly surprised with this place. Opted for a sandwich/soup combo with a bagel and veggie cream cheese spread on the side, YUM!! Staff even opened a pack of cookies so i could sample the goods!! Will definitely come back when in town.

Fabulous sandwiches and can't beat the juice. They will make exactly the kind you ask for. Saved me after a week long cruise and being "stuck" in Miami for a few days. Wonderful. Can't wait to go back!

The most horrible place I have ever been!!! They charge you not according to the price list. Two plain bagels costed $16!!! People wee waiting for 20-30 min just to pay for coffee. Never ever again. The guys are unattentive and rude. They couldn't even explain why the price was like this. Please avoid this place and rather go some place else. And I forgot to mention, the smell in this place is incredibly bad.

First time here over the Thanksgiving weekend as I wandered down Collins Avenue. It's set off from the street in a little strip mall, so easy to miss. Two tables outside and high-density seating inside this small place. The set-up is like an old-fashioned shop, with walls full of whimsical advertising. Extensive menu on wall behind tall counter was confusing at first, good thing the pleasant young African-American lady there took my order, an everything bagel with cream cheese. Pay at end of counter to man who runs the place. A pleasant neighborhood spot where former New Yorkers and locals chat and read the paper. In front of the counter is bread chopped in small pieces plus spreads, which people can munch on while awaiting their order, a unique feature that makes people feel at home.

I stopped in here with my parents since they were craving bagels and shocked at the limited selection they discovered in the Mid Beach area. This place is definitely the best bagel I have come across in the vicinity. The bagels themselves are authentic with a slightly crisp outside and doughy inside. They also have bialys, which are my favorite in the bagel arena. Not many places offer them and these are spectacular. Another highlight is their audacious selection of cream cheese. Caesar? Southwest? Curry? They are all tasty, but the caesar blew my mind. Definitely worth a stop before the beach for a great breakfast or snack.

This place is great, I ate here every day for a week while staying in a hotel nearby. Bagels are to die for. Smoothies and fresh juices are amazing. First time I paid my bill I thought it was pricey, but then I realized that it's actually not, given they give you really good stuff and juices are huge. Best place in the area for breakfast, and really clean too. If Im ever in the neighborhood Id def come back, twice a day. Btw, owners are really nice guys, very friendly, so is everyone else.

VILE. It's too bad because the food is good but the place IS DISGUSTING beyond DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would take only a broom, a few sponges, maybe some Windex and I'd go back, but I don't know if it's because the owner is too cheap or what that they won't have people pay to clean, but this place needs to be shut down by the health department quickly. Again: one word - VILE

Bagel places all over the country use "New York" in their names, but this place actually deserves that right. I might've had the best bagel here I've ever eaten outside the five boroughs. Bagels aren't supposed to taste like bread; they should be compact and chewy with an almost tough outer shell, and that's how the bagel I had here was. The day I went, it was packed with about seven hundred guys from a nearby sober circuit party, and felt just like Murray's in the West Village on a Sunday morning. The staff dealt with the volume of orders in that small space quickly and were totally efficient and personable. People on here have noted that the sandwiches are kind of expensive, and I guess for bagels they are but I'd say it's worth it in this case. My bagel was awesome. I wish I had one now. Extra points for having hot sauce on hand; I wish every bagel store would follow suit.

  • Matt C.

Meh, I've experienced better! The interior is cramped and dirty, and the sandwiches are overpriced The service is great, and the cash register guy is very nice. Even Noah's and Einstein Bros has better corned beef bagel sandwiches.

  • Laura M.

I really like this place. The rosemary garlic bagel with rosemary butter toasted is pretty much the best bagel I have ever had. The only problem with this place it is tiny and if you go on the weekend it is usually packed. Even if you are getting to-go there is no where to stand and wait, people are loud and pushy. But once in awhile when I am in the mood it is worth the wait and hassle.

Back in the late 1960's my mother and I would trek down to South Beach to visit my grandmother who lived in a sleepy apartment building full of aging bubbes in a part of south Beach that is now very trendy. We would stay at the Georgian or New Yorker (there were no TVs in the rooms, but there was a "TV Room") and I would try to convince my mom to take me to Wolfies daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wolfies and the Rascal House are long gone but there is a worthy replacement in the form of New York Bagel Deli. Small and crowded like a real New York deli (which is unlike Wolfie's full sized restaurant), NYBD makes absolutely delicious bagels and serves tasty, overstuffed sandwiches. Family run, you'll get a little attitude from Evan, the owner, if you complain and that's how it a Jewish deli should be. My wife and my 18 and 20 year old ate here twice during our recent visit and enjoyed the experience. If you are looking for a real New York deli like the ones frequented by your parents and grandparents, look no further.

i know this is not what you expect from a bagel place, but I have to say the smoothies are grrrrreat!! I am not from New York, but I took some friends from Long Island and Brooklyn, and they loved it, they thought these were legitimate New York bagels. Definitely worth trying!

Solid bagel place with amazing smoothies. A little pricey, but it is the beach. I prefer to take out because its not the most comfortable place when it is crowded (which it usually is) but I will be back.

Tasty bagel, the right amount of chewy texture. I like that they have some unique cream cheese flavors like guava, strawberry, and I like that they have a bacon asaigo bagel. But what left a sour taste was the stand off customer service. Not a very welcoming environment. slightly confusing setup for orders and payments. I would come back if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

  • Alyson M.

New York Bagels is the real deal - a bagel selection daily of at least 20 flavors, and exotic cream cheeses, sandwiches galore, good & strong serve-yourself coffee. Friendly staff that is patient to explain how to order a bagel to those not familiar with the bagel ordering process - I love this point as not everyone has gone to a NY bagel shop and sometimes when I go I think to myself how presumptuous in an country with so many cultures that we think everyone grows up on bagels - anyhow New York Bagel Deli unlike a real NY bagel shop have a pretty helpful & patient staff. Bottomless cups of coffee. NY prices but worth it .

We came here because this was the only place nearby that was open at 7am when I searched on yelp. For about $20 we got breakfast for three people along with fresh brewed coffee. The bagels were fresh and our orders were made as we asked. The breakfast sandwiches with egg/cheese bagel combinations are hot, good, and filling. They wrap the sandwiches nicely so even though we ate right there, I could see myself taking one of those to-go to the beach. As we walked to this place I skimmed over the reviews and it seems people either love it or really hate it. I didn't think the place was disgusting as some folks have said in the tips/reviews and I don't think there was anything wrong with our food. The fact that it comes out nice and hot helps (we had our sandwiches toasted).

Great bagels and MANY shmears for you to choose from. They have samples of them near the register for you to try. They also serve sandwiches and salads. Their smoothies are also made from real fruit, hence the slightly high prices. They also deliver and cater for a small fee. In the store, you'll also find a fridge display where you can buy their shmears, bottled juices, fruit cups, etc. Seating inside is available, but since it's a small shop, don't be surprised to leave smelling like burnt bagel. Service is great, but can be more efficient. There's also a check-in offer (though I don't know how long it'll last) for 10% off your entire order. The only downfall of this place was that there was a hair in my salad the last time I had it delivered. NOT OK. However, I'm not deducting any points for this because they went ahead and delivered another salad, no questions asked and were very apologetic about it. Gross story aside, try the Asian chicken salad. The peanut dressing is uhmazing.

If it weren't for the stellar bagels, I'd be only giving one star. The service in Miami in general tends to be lacking, but this place really took the cake. I couldn't believe how rude and short the employees were. They made me (a paying customer) feel like a giant inconvenience. I get it, you're busy, no need to be sassy about it. Also, the place feels kinda grimey :( Like I said, the bagels were great and it was a good cup of coffee, they just really need to step their service and ambiance up big time so customers feel welcome coming back.

Really good bagels, if you can get them still warm they are even better. I haven't tried other bagel spots in the area, but these are much better than anything in Atlanta, and most places in Boston as well.

I ate here almost every morning of my vacation to Miami. The possibilities are endless with all the items they offer. Great price and great sandwiches. I would recommend a specific sandwich but I had so many different ones that I'd have to recommend all of them! Definitely a place to visit if you're looking for a quick bite and staying in the area. Just make sure you call your order in before going, since they get super packed.

Had lunch recently. Indoor seating is a premium and it looks as if most is done as take out. No matter, everything is very fresh. Bagel was not overlarge and doughy and their business is brisk so you know the bagels are fresh. Also, they don't skimp on the seeds on the bagels. It appears that all the eggs are scrambled via a microwave. I had the South of the Border and it came with several avocado slices. Tasty and enough. My friend had the Florentine sandwich and there was a nice portion of spinach and cheese. Two sizes for the salads and the customers at the table next to us, said that their tuna scoop was plentiful and the salads were fresh. Lots of walk in for their fruit smoothies so I guess the word on the street is that the smoothies are good. Don't confuse this location with the one on Biscayne Blvd. There is no connection. Also, they take the prime card.

Delicious bagels! We had the Veggie Delight and Nova w/ Cream Cheese, one on an everything bagel and one on a whole wheat sesame bagel. Both were outstanding and barely left any room for the amazing Fresh Fruit Smoothie we shared. We can't wait to come back.

I went here a few years ago and was unimpressed by the actual bagels. Yet, year after year I drive by and figure they must be doign something right? With my new job north on Collins I decided monday to check it out on my way to work. Ok WOW WOW WOW I got a whole wheat bagel with fresh veggie light cream cheese. The cream cheese has chunks of fresh veggies. The service is friendly and amazing, and rare for Florida. I have been in every morning this week. This is my new stop on my way to work ! I love this place ! What a selection of bagels, and cream cheese !

INGLES - ESPAñOL /// ENGLISH - SPANISH Perfect place for breakfast (and/or even lunch)! They have REAL home made bagel, you can smell that, and actually they may keep the back door open so you will see where they do the bagels. I'm not a bagel fanatic, but I like what they have here. They have even the one that you can not imagine! They have a very big variety of spread, and if you ask with a smile they will mix two on a bagel. The place doesn't look the best, but don't follow that, just follow the smell. Also, they have a really nice cafe latte, actually they have a really nice cafe latte! Extra points for that! Also extra extra point for the service! The two girls working there are super fun, they provide great service all the time. The place is small, not trendy, but hey!, you go for the the coffee, and the bagel, and if you are awake enough bagel and coffee is so good that you may not worry about anything else. Enjoy! Disfruten!!!!

If you feel nostalgic about your bagels then this is NOT the place to go. Staff was rude and inattentive, place was dirty and smelled bad. Guy next to me waited 10 minutes just to pay for his coffee. Way overpriced, $16 and change for 2 bagels (one w tuna and other w some greasy ham that looked more like bacon strips). I must admit, the tuna was great but everything else just ruined the experience of traveling and trying new places. By the way, a real KOSHER bagel place in New York called Bagel Boss would charge about $12 for the same order. One more thing, good luck if you try to call, nobody picked up the phone 2 days on a row.

Very good bagels. They have a wide selection of bagels and juices and their staff was friendly and helpful. The place won't come to your attention neither from the outside nor the inside, but food is good.

Right off the beach, the location couldn't be better. I stopped in on the recommendation of a local, but I was skeptical. I am, after all, a native New Yorker living in Brooklyn. I grew up on this stuff, so I'm picky about my bagels. But luckily, these bagels taste like they're right out of NYC. You can order like a New York (cream cheese, nova, tomato, onions, capers), or get a "normal" sandwich or spread. Seriously, try it.

    (4)
  • Dennis M.

Authentic New York feel. Even with the same grittiness. But it's about the food, and there is great food, and you can sample smoothies and delicious freshly made spreads. Bagels and smoothies are delicious. One of my top breakfast spots. Family feel service.

Filthy. I went in for bagels and some lox thinking with a name like New York Bagel Deli we would be safe... First...I watched the workers use dirty filthy trays to bring the bagels out of the kitchen and push the door open with them. Then watched this hairy worker without a hair net or gloves toss the bagels into the bins which were disgusting and full of old crumbs... Old crumbs are the theme to this place... After he tossed the bagels in he put those filthy trays on the ground which prompted me to look behind the counter... it was a disgusting filthy floor and guess what...crumbs but this time they had a little friend... actual dirt and grease. I inspect a little further and walked to the back of the store to see the juice bar.... the syrup jugs had caked on filth and old syrup and a stream of dripping sugar. All of the jugs were dirty. Once again... crumbs everywhere...I really have not seen such filth in a modern food spot in the USA. This place should be condemned. They have on the counter a display with tri-folds for some sort of tourist attraction. Inside the actual display were... you guessed it ... crumbs... I then look at the coffee counter... just pure filth. I am now at this point concerned about my order and decide just to get some pre-packed items and I cancelled my bagels. As I did this, one of the owners is behind the counter coughing. Im not talking about a throat tickle... he was hack coughing from a cold. WHAT? You're handling food... Im watching him do this and Im in total shock. AVOID THIS PLACE... It cannot be fixed

    (1)
  • Sean M.

I'm going 2 stars here b/c the actual food is always good. I stop in about once a month hoping that what's "broken" about this seemingly mom & pop deli will be fixed...nothing yet. This place is DIRTY, period. It's a shame b/c it would take one day & a cleaning crew to bring it up to snuff. I'm writing this finally after a few years of patronage b/c I saw the owner's Benz truck today while paying $11 for my chicken salad on a bagel. It's good but I'd say it's about $7 good. Take the extra $4 profit & clean your restaurant please. Almost every review on here mentions what a mess this place is...I don't get it. A little "New York Attitude" is fine, gives a place character, but I think you're missing the point Mr. owner! The place usually smells like old mop water, the bathroom is disgusting, you've got ingredients stored on open shelves, the floor is dirty & dingy, the coffee station is gross, etc, etc... Sure, you're bagels are good & cream cheese selection is great but I can't help but wonder if the place looks so obviously nasty, how does your prep kitchen/bakery look? I'm guessing not good. Re-invest a little in your business before some shiny new franchise comes into N. Beach & scoops up all of your customers!

Best bagel in Miami Beach. Creative bagel sandwiches. Turkey pesto and Thai turkey are both so good. And filling. I'm a stickler for portion size, and these are large bagel sandwiches. Their tuna salad in unreal. Service can be slow. And sometimes they forget to scoop and/or toast the bagel. Which is why they get 4 stars, not 5. But the bagels are fresh and delicious. And they usually have samples of bagels and spreads and smoothies out while you wait. Who doesn't love a sample?!?!

Used to like this place. No more. Awkwardly set up...hard to order, hard to pay. Worst of all, hubby found an insect part on his bagel. Yuck. Never again.

This would be my new, favorite place if it weren't for the service. We had two separate orders and they completely forgot about both of our orders. Once we complained to the boss lady, she cracked the whip and we got our food. Boss lady, I appreciate your hustle. My meat-loving girlfriend thought her non-meat-containing bagel was so good that she says we can go back another time. So there it is...I'll be back.

This place is clutch. Like Derek Jeter clutch, except without the subtle snobbery and playoff makeup he wears. I don't think there is a better place for NYC bagels anywhere else on the beach. I'm a big fan of the rosemary bagel with the homemade artichoke spread. There is no better feeling than waking up on a hungover induced weekend to one of these. Delicious. But like all things good and NYC inspired... they are pricey. If they knocked off a buck or two, 5 stars.

Literally the best bagels ive ever had. Used to always get the bialy sausage egg and cheese which is phenomenal but recently have been getting an everything with roasted turkey swiss lettuce tomatoe onion and thousand island dressing. Always comes with the best homemade chocolate chip cookie and a bag of chips. Im from up north and have some great bagel spots like manhattan bagel and einsteins but nybd blows them out of the water. The staff are all super friendly and the service is lightning fast. I come here atleast 4 times a week. Yes it is a bit pricey but you definetly get what you pay for. The house smoothie is amazing. Fresh fruits blended together.. Yumm. I want everyone in the world to try this amazing bagel spot on miami beach! Also they have a whole bunch of exotic cream cheese spreads from jalepeno to guava, and roasted pepper spread! The tuna is amazing too!

NYBD has incredible bagels, smoothies and service. It gets busy so the wait may be a minute but it's worth it. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the quality or quanitity. It's a GREAT place to come, there are always free samples so you know what you want-no guessing games! It's really small and cozy inside, but there's outdoor seating. Power bagel is AMAZING. They also have lunch there too!

Let me make this short 'n sweet: kick-ass bagels! We were visiting from Denver, but we're from NY, so know and appreciate good bagels.. this place is right out of Queens. Good bagels and schmears - and all the good varieties - including salt. If you're in the area, get over here for breakfast and do like we did, and skip the expensive hotel brunch.

New to Miami. Stopped in and place was crowded- good sign! Immediately noticed a funky smell in the place - and it was not the smell of fresh bagels! Ordered, got food and coffee. Coffee station was grimy. Every surface was sticky and dirty. Husband used restroom and said it was one of the dirtiest he had ever been in. Didn't want to touch anything. Noticed the entire place from the front door to the floor was so filthy that it made me wonder how it could have passed inspection. Took food and sat outside. Guy showed up with bags of food to restock the deli. Brought his baby in a stroller and he pushed it up to our table and rammed it into my chair. I tried to stand up to move the chair so he could pass but he couldn't wait and continued to push through our space aggressively and spilled my entire cup of coffee onto my bagel and kept on going - no apologies, no comments, no nothing. I think it was an owner or manager due to the fact he was bringing supplies. Obviously could care less about his customers. I truly wonder about all the 5 stars this place receives. Do others not see the filth? Husband said bagels were okay but not spectacular. I wouldn't know because mine was soaked in coffee.

I work near this deli and I could eat there every day. The mediterranean bagel is my favorite. It is worth the trip just for this creation. The corned beef sandwich causes my salivary glands to erupt with joy. The cream cheese spread is as spicy as Calvin Klein swim suit ad featuring Eva Mendes. I am happy to have found this restaurant.
